newnumber6: Ghostly being (Default)

This week I got:
Emma Frost #9 (okay)
Gotham Central #17 (good)
Ultimate X-Men #43 (Quite good, though a couple of 'ultimatizations' I'm not too fond of, and X seeming a bit off his established character)

At the bookstore I picked up:
Double Star, by Robert A. Heinlein (1956 Hugo Winner)
and A Fire Upon the Deep (1993 Hugo winner). I had AFUTD before, but it got lost somewhere in Vancouver when I loaned it to my brother, so I got another copy.
So, with this purchase, for Hugo winners, I'm only missing 'They'd Rather Be Right' (often considered the worst novel to win the Hugo) from the 50s, 'Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang' from the 70s, 3 books from the 80s, 3 books from the 90s, and 2 books from 2000-present.
My longest spread of consecutive books is 1956-1976, 20 years. Pretty good. Just need to sweep up They'd Rather Be Right to have every pre-1977 Hugo winner.
Nebulas are still another story, though. Still, 3 books there and I'll have every pre-1980 Nebula winner.
Edit: Oh, and yes, I did get a gyro. :)

It was very good. I just forgot to mention it. There, I edited it now. ;)
