So, yeah. A possibility for living situation has presented itself, one I had really not considered as serious before, but not it looks to be. Instead of moving into my own place, I could move into a place with my brother and his gf. We all get along pretty well, and it would make tabletop a lot easier, not to mention making a decent place cheaper for all of us.
The major problems would probably be smoke (I don't, they do), which isn't so bad because we'll both probably be cracking windows, and the annoyance of music playing... which'll only happen during the day, probably, but it's still a potential annoyance.
Also, of course, on the con side, it wouldn't be my own place that I can do with whatever I wish. It'd be shared. A little more evenly than where I am now, but still, it'd prevent me from say, walking around naked, leaving a slice of pizza in a box on the corner to see if anything interesting grows on it, etc, etc, etc. Not that I'm particularly of a mind to do either, I'm just using those to cover anything that I might want to do that you really can't when you share a place.

Still, it's worth considering, seriously.

Sounds like a good idea if you don't mind getting lung cancer from second hand smoke or the occasonal bought of sore throat.

And from my days of having inconsiderate roomies, being that it's a COUPLE what are you gunna do when they ah, get intimate? It means yer gunna have to leave or turn the music up REALLY loud if ya have yer own room.

Good luck with yer decision. =D

Well, of course any decision would be contingent on the specific living arrangements. However, with smoking, I get a good dose of potential lung cancer from family coffee day anyway. I'll be in my room most of the time, and with a window I can open I doubt it'd be too bad.
As to the intimacy... yeah, I thought about that, and it is a concern. Of course, my brother once lived in the exact same situation (well, opposite position in it; he lived with two friends, who were a couple). The way the place was set up probably made it no worse than two unconnected apartments in the same building. I don't listen to music, so I can't really turn that up, but TV sure, or I could tune it out. So yeah, it depends a bit on the layout of everything. I probably wouldn't want a room right next to theirs.
