New Comic Day + Work Foo
Jul. 13th, 2005 04:32 pmThis week I got:
Gravity #2 (liked it a little more than the first, but a bit annoyed at how it borders on parody)
Mutopia X #1 (one of the more interesting looks at the HoM universe)
NYX #6 (Damn. 8 months late, but it's still pretty good - made me really care about a new character in a single issue. A shame I'll have to wait until 2009 for the last part. :P)
Serenity #1 (enjoyable, but a little disappointing too, not quite the same spark as the series or movie)
Ultimate X-Men #61 (my pick of the week, a lot of fun)
X-Men The End Book Two #5 (Heh, goofy but fun new origin, the rest kinda fell flat. Okay, but that's it).
Full reviews of course at http://www.unreachablestar.net
Was going to have Gyro for lunch but it was too hot and didn't want to stop so I just had another Whopper, but this time I also got onion rings and a root beer because I had a feeling only the power of onion rings would get me through working on such a hot day. Work wasn't too bad though, all in all. Probably because of the onion rings.
