More random foo

newnumber6I'm continually annoyed/amused by how I always seem to get my mind wrapped up in things like story ideas and such on nights before I have to wake up at 5am. So it keeps me up when I should be sleeping, but then I can afford to stay up a bit I tend to fall asleep pretty quickly, and when I do have time to write I don't have the exciting ideas. Bleh. Ah well.
You know how they say you never see dead or young pigeons (and therefore there's the suggestion that pigeons are immortal)? Which isn't entirely true, just the dead ones are usually cleaned away pretty quick if they're anywhere you can see, and pigeons grow to adult size very quickly. But anyway, today I did, I saw a clearly very young pigeon beside an older one while on the way to work today... looked almost like a rat with wings and beak. Anyway, just found it weird.
Went to my grandmother's today... usually try to go to coffee with her and my dad and stepmom on a fairly regular basis, but today we went to her place and had burgers cooked on the grill, and Avgolemono soup (which she calls Meatball soup because she adds meatballs). Mmmmm.. haven't had that in a while. Plus the burgers. All in all had 3 burgers, two bowls of soup, and a green pepper from the garden. All good.
