Dream Foo: The night started out unpromising because I couldn't seem to get to sleep. My mind couldn't get quiet enough and kept running around the same topics over and over again. But then when I finally did get to sleep, it, my upcoming cold, and perhaps other factors I'm unaware of led to a perfect storm, and every dream I had I was lucid for.

With lucid dreams the storyline tends to be a little wonky so I can't really relate that in any meaningful way (mostly it involved me 'waking up', realizing it wasn't a dream, and then making an effort to change things, so I'll just give a list of things I did while Lucid this time:

A little of my usual flying.
Bent metal bars with my bare hands.
Turned invisible to dream characters (I think... I suppose it's possible they just didn't have any reason to notice me but I remember thinking that I was invisible)
Converted a door into a gateway to a parallel universe. I was just trying for a portal. This is always one of the hardest lucid dream feats for me, teleportation. So instead of trying for a specific destination, I just tried for somewhere else. Eventually I got to open on two or three parallel worlds. The first I've lost all memory of. The second was one of those cliche ones you see where white people are discriminated against at the same level as blacks in the 50s. Except in this world my family was black, and I replaced the version of myself that was supposed to be there so they were wondering what they were going to do. I just looked around a bit out of curiosity and then I tried to open another portal where I think I was on some sort of sports team. Shortly after that I had a 'wakeup-oh-wait-I'm-still-dreaming' moment and didn't come back to that train of experiments.
Talked to a dream character with the intent of claiming the right/ability to be lucid in every dream I have. We had a little philosophical argument about it, he thought that I'd use the power to make all the dreams the same and I claimed that I wouldn't because once I had the option I wouldn't have to keep trying things so frantically knowing this was my only chance until the next lucid dream, usually a month or so away. I think we agreed on letting me be lucid from now on, but we'll have to see if my subconscious sticks to the agreement, since I haven't had any dreams since. ;)

And on the health front: While I don't feel as bad as I did on
Thursday, I'm sick. I have a cold again, annoying cough, and, yay me,
I woke up today and one of my ears felt wonky. You know what that probably means? Ear infection. Just lovely. Oh well. I just ate a whole clove of garlic this morning, hopefully that'll help a bit.
