A Bad Poem a Day -

Okay,
tadiera passed along a meme of, for April, writing and posting one poem a day (and it has to be written that day, no saving up poems). There's no way in hell I'm going to keep it up. However, I'll try for a bit. Of course, my poems will all be bad... not by design, but just by the fact that I don't really do poetry.
So, in that spirit (and notably, for the day as it is)...
Fool's Not-Quite-a-Sonnett
(It's not quite a Sonnett because I misremembered the number of lines required, but hey. And anyway, it works better with it being a bad poem. ;))
I realize now that I have been a Fool,
And failed to seize the moments that went by.
I lived my life according to a rule
That kept my gaze to ground instead of sky.
'It's best if others do not notice you...
Can always make your mark another day,
Speak not unless you have been spoken to'
And now I fear I know no other way
What was my rule has now become my cell.
Now this poor fool hopes for parole from Hell.
