New Comic Day + Work + Dream Foo
Apr. 5th, 2006 04:54 pmThis week I got 5 books:
New Excalibur #6 (Okay, but not terribly memorable either)
Teen Titans #34 (Not sure how I feel about the new status quo, but the issue's still fun)
Ultimate X-Men #69 (A bit slow, being a setup issue, but I still like what Kirkman's doing an awful lot)
X-Men Unlimited #14 (Fairly good for an unlimited issue)
Young Avengers #11 (My Pick of the Week, good fun)
Full reviews are up as usual at my comic reviews site for anyone interested.
Work was bleh. Truck was late and about twice as much as normal. Oh, and I almost died because I as I was climbing to my usual high shelf my hand was a bit slick from spilled water so I lost my grip and fell on my posterior and hurt my leg some. But it was only the first step of the
climb so I didn't fall too far.
Had a LOST related dream last night. Okay, it was sort of Lost, all of us on an island, except 'all of us' was a wide assortment of people including many people I grew up with, and we didn't crash land on a plane, it was a whole section of neighborhood that was suddenly transported to the Island.
Anyway there was a Hospital Hatch type thing, except once you went in you were trapped there, the doors wouldn't open for you. We went in and explored the whole thing, including a place where they had a little film for us to watch. On our second time through, one of our group decided to wash their hands because they got stuff on it from the projector. We then discovered that they could open the door - that was the secret... it was part of the Quarantine procedures, you could only go outside if you washed your hands properly to avoid germs. So we went through the hospital to track down other people trapped and let them know.
Then, instead of the main exit, we opened a back door just to see if it would work... and we noticed something odd... it opened up back onto the neighborhood, but the parts that didn't get taken to the island, like it was a portal home. That's about all I remember, woke up.
