They were found guilty of second degree murder. Maybe not quite as satisfying as first degree murder, although from a dispassionate look second degree might be the more appropriate charge.
Next of course is sentencing, and they still need to find some way to hold the children's aid service accountable and fix the problems that led to it (and they still seem to be not doing good for the remaining kids in the guise of being more vigilant).
But its a start.
