newnumber6So, I was thinking about possible new writers for Runaways after BKV leaves, and how things might change in the Runaways dynamic...
Brian Michael Bendis:
Luke Cage: We need to talk.
Nico: How'd you find us?
Luke: Wolverine.
Nico: Wolverine?
Luke: Smelled you.
Chase: Smelled us?
Luke: Well, your dinosaur. We need to...
Molly: Where is he?
Luke: Where is who?
Molly: Wolverine. If he helped find us.
Luke: He had a thing.
Molly: A thing?
Luke: A thing. Now will you listen? We found out something big's brewing. A few years ago, your parents...
Victor: Our parents?
Luke: Well, not your parents.
Xavin: Nor mine, I suspect.
Luke: I don't even know who you are.
Xavin: I'm Xavin. I'm a skrull.
Luke: A skrull?
Xavin: Yes.
Karolina: He's also my girlfriend.
Luke: He.
Xavin: Yes.
Luke: Your Girlfriend.
Karolina: Yes.
Xavin: I change my shape.
Luke: Right, because you're a skrull.
Nico: Can we get back to our parents?
Luke: Right. The Pride. They had a backup plan.
Chase: Back up.
Luke: That's what I said.
Chase: No, I mean, back up. How'd you find out about this?
Luke: I'm an Avenger now.
Chase: Yeah, but you guys never knew a thing about The Pride when they controlled the city for years. So how do you know they've got a backup plan?

Luke: Oh, yeah. It's a huge monster. It's already killed some
C-list heroes off-panel. And you're the only ones who can stop it.

The issue has still yet to ship, one year after the solicitation, which promised Kiden would join the Runaways, paving the way for a New X-Men/Runaways crossover mini which has already occured, written by somebody else.
Chris Claremont:
In the first story arc, The Hellfire Club attempts to take over the Pride's old business in LA, lead by a new character.
Nico: Oh no, somehow this character (who seems an awful lot like the Shadow King except he can't be, because the Shadow King is unavailable) has reflected my hypnotism spell back on us! I must resist!... and yet part of me craves to just let go!
Xavin: By Kl'rt! As the mind control progresses, I'm gradually changing my clothes into what you Earthlings would call 'bondage gear'.
Victor: I'm a robot, and I think we need to all pull together. Fight it, rookie!
Molly: Don't worry, we'll defeat it, because we're Runaways, and
Runaways find a way to win! No Matter What!
Karolina: For some unexplained reason probably due to my alien
heritage, I'm completely immune to mind control. Which leads me,
Lucy in the Sky, with a free hand to use my Solar Beam, the focused
totality of my alien heritage, to blast this miscreant!
Narration Box: The two titans clash, one of light, one of dark.
Karolina fights like a true warrior, knowing that if she loses, she
will pay the price in the blood of her friends. The battle is joined. No quarter asked, none given!
Victor: I'm a robot. Nice shot, Karolina! You've driven him away... for now!
Gert: Hi guys, I'm back. Oh yeah, and I have phenomenal cosmic power.
Chase: Oh, , and I just started dating a girl who looks exactly like you! Whatever will I do?
Victor: I'm a robot.
