Semi-Dream Foo: Strange TV show idea...

newnumber6I think I had this as a passing thought yesterday, but didn't really think about it. Then, suddenly, at around 5am in the morning, I woke up, and started working on it in my semi-conscious state. So, I call it a semi-dream foo, since my conscious mind wasn't in on it.
It was a concept for a TV show.
The show (at least, in my semi-dream state) was called Aware. The concept is about a person (in the semi-dream state it was a woman, so I'll go with that) who begins to become aware that they're in a TV show. But not in a Truman Show sense, in a weird blending of reality sense. To her, her reality is completely normal. She had some kind of typical TV job (doctor, secret agent, etc). But, somehow, she begins receiving messages from the _real_ world. Those messages come from real people, and help shape the show.
For example, on the show (or on commercials for the show), her phone number is given. People can really call it and leave voicemail messages. The thing is, the character in the show actually receives at least some of these voicemail messages. She's slowly getting frustrated because strange messages begin appearing on her phone. E-mails too - if she has an email address, its real, and she can read emails sent to her. Emails which may almost certainly include something along the lines of 'you're a TV show!'.
Except it's not quite a comedy. It's more some sort of weird action drama. The messages from the real world are almost like a 'super power' in that they can tell her about things that have appeared on the show that she, personally, has no knowledge of... like if someone's a traitor, or her husband is cheating on her, etc.
Now, obviously, this would be hard to do since if you were going to include real messages from real people, you'd have to write and film episodes in the week after the last one aired. But I imagine with some combination of fake-messages-planted by writers who anticipate what audience would use, plus certain gimmicks. I imagine a 'live segment' in a season finale where people can phone in and one will be chosen to go on the air, where the main character will hear it and react. Or you could cleverly film many different endings depending on what type of phone calls you get through, and then attach the right scenes when you get them.
Okay, sure, writing it out it sounds a little dumb, but hey, at 5am in the morning? It's gold! And I just wanted to have a record of it.
Also did have a more fuller dream about travelling to France. It was 3 dreams in one, almost...
See, first I had a dream where I was supposed to go to France. But it was only like 2 hours to my flight, and I was just about 2 hours away, and you were supposed to check in hours early, and whats more, I didn't even have a passport. So I missed the flight, which sucked because I was supposed to attend something in Paris.
Anyway, then, after that, I had a dream that I _dreamed_ I made the Paris flight. It was a dream within a dream because I later woke up and explained it to people from the first dream.
Anyway, then after that (or continugous with that, I'm not sure), I had a strange dream where I was merely an observer, my POV following someone else who was on a trip to Paris and tagging along with someone they met on the plane who knew the city better. *shrug*.
