New Comic Day
Jul. 18th, 2007 06:54 pmThis week I got three books.
Avengers: The Initiative #4 (My Pick of the Week, good crossover that doesn't really require the original)
Birds of Prey #108 (sorry to see Simone go, but I'm a bit disappointed at the resolution of one of the plots)
New X-Men #40 (art makes it a bit hard to tell what's happening at times, but I like the basic plot and interested in seeing what changes result from it)
Full reviews up as usual at my comic reviews site for anyone interested.
Tired from work, which was a pain. Well, work + walk to and from comic store, which seems a little worse when it comes after work instead of before work like before. Meh.
Skipped lunch, but just had sausages and rice a roni (the san francisco treat) and veggies for dinner.
off to go collapse now.
Edit: Oh, but first, 3 unusual things on the way home.
1) I saw a beautiful monarch butterfly, on the ground, seemingly dead in a death-grip with a wasp.
2) I saw someone I went to high school with in the mall. Or rather, he saw me, called out my name, and we chatted for a minute or two.
3) A bug flew in my mouth on the way up the stairs home.
Of the three, I think #3 was the least pleasant.
