Now I have done the next best thing... blocked it out!
From my room, anyway... well, mostly. I finally managed to tack up a sheet over the huge skylight in my room, which not only protects me from satellite surveillance (it was annoying dodging that square of floor right beneath it), but keeps out the intense sunlight. Some light does get through and around, which isnice because it keeps the room well-lit during the day and I don't have to turn on any lights, but it's not painful and doesn't wake me up at sunrise every morning. I can actually nap again.
In other news, for the first time for me a friend has deleted their LJ. :(. Ah well.
