Happy Birthday
goddesscomplex, even though I haven't heard from you in quite a while and suspect you've left the realms of LJ, I wish you the best whereever you are.
Want to see the inside of the Eleventh Doctor's TARDIS? Well, then go look. I quite like it, so far. No spoilers, by the way, aside from for the look of the TARDIS itself and the main characters.
In other, sadder news, I recently heard that writer Steve Perry, who wrote episodes of Thundercats, Silverhawks, Gargoyles (he wrote the episode introducing Macbeth, among others), and also, of personal note to me, the first two issues of Psi-Force, is in serious financial straights, as he's got no job, on social assistance (most of which goes to doctors), raising a 5 year old son alone, and has cancer. Literally every dollar helps.
angelophile gave me the heads up. Details from his friend Steve Bissett here and here, and from Steve Perry himself at the end of this thread. I sent him what I could, money that has been languishing in my paypal account because it was too little to buy anything of note (when you factor in shipping at least)... it wasn't much, but he still sent me a gracious thank you note. Like
angelophile, I don't really feel right asking you to the same, but I at least wanted to bring the situation to your attention and ask you to keep him in in your thoughts.
