The meme, in case you'd forgotten, was as follows:
I have a list of 15 characters whom you will not see until the answers are posted. Give me questions in the form of "3 and 8 are trapped in a cave-in; how do they survive?" and I'll try come up with wacky answers.

Only two people submitted questions, so to pad out the interest factor for me, I'm also including and answering the questions I asked other people. I either changed the numbers or made them when I didn't have my list (and ordered the list more or less randomly).

So, here's my list of characters:

1. River from Firefly
2. Al from Quantum Leap
3. Chase from Runaways (comic)
4. Veronica Mars
5. Siri Keeton, Blindsight (novel)
6. Sokka, Avatar (cartoon)
7. Cassandra Cain Batgirl
8. Cameron from Terminator
9. Magik, from New Mutants
10. Jack O'Neil, Stargate
11. The Doctor (Eleven) from Doctor Who
12. Zoey, Left 4 Dead
13. Sharon, from BSG
14. Shadowcat, X-Men
15. Zoe from Firefly (yeah I used Firefly twice but what the hell)

2 and 10 swap bodies one Friday. How does each one react, and what
mischief do they get into?

Al would be quite comfortable with the situation, because he'd just assumed he'd leaped instead of Sam (as in The Leap Back). In fact, that's probably exactly what would have happened to cause this.

Even if Sam never showed up with information, he'd assume what he needed to do is to hook up O'Neil with that hot Samantha Carter. Though she'd probably figure it out it's not Jack because he's too lecherous. Jack's come ons are more subtle.

Meanwhile, Jack would say "For crying out loud!" and try to explain that his clearance obviously would cover him for the Quantum Leap Project, and try to kick everybody's ass to get him home but he couldn't actually do the science itself.

4 and 7 buy a car together for an extended road trip. What make and model
do they choose?

Veronica Mars and Cassandra Cain Batgirl?

Well, first I had to give my disclaimer. I know nothing about cars other than their utility. I don't care about makes and models, and I don't really understand why anybody DOES (aside from sheer utility for different purposes, but not for the fetishistic qualities they seem to have). So I couldn't tell you a Pontiac from a Impala.

I imagine Cassandra Cain is something like me. She'd only be interested in what gets the job done. Maybe, her high reflexes and her preference for mobility over safety would want her to get a high-speed motorcycle (which she would drive and Veronica would hold on for dear life). Maybe even a Batcycle. She'd also want to travel only at night.

But Veronica Mars is a private detective, and for them, one of the key things she'd be looking for is something that doesn't stand out, so no one could track their movements, and if they were following somebody, they wouldn't know. Following somebody for a case is the only thing I can think of that would get these together for a road trip anyway. (Maybe Cass is out of touch with the rest of the Bat universe and so she needs somebody who has the detective skills and ability to read, that make up for her lack). So I'm thinking a used car, probably the most common make/color on the road. Maybe even the reasoning of Chase from Runaways- a white van, because it's a standard vehicle for maintenence people and so there's so many of them on the roads.

12 and 13 are accidentally checked into a mental institution. How do they
escape?

Zoey from Left 4 Dead and Sharon from Battlestar Galactica. Given who they are, I'd have to assume that if they were put in an institution, it's because their whole media is just a delusion, just like that episode of Buffy (and various other shows that try this gimmick). So there aren't REALLY zombies, and Sharon isn't REALLY a cylon. They just believe it. But anyway, they still have the skills. So I'd think that they'd take a weapon from a guard/orderly, or pick up some kind of common object that can be used as one, and bash their way out. Maybe Sharon would use her cylon skills to hack the security system at some part of it.

Technically, being from the Left For Dead universe, Zoey automatically starts out with a pistol, and even if she picks up a melee weapon, as soon as she's knocked down one magically appears that she can fire at people with. (I know you're saying that Zoey is from L4D1 which doesn't have melee weapons, but there's a DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 coming that'll make her playable under L4D rules).

1 and 15 are pitted against one another in combat. Who emerges
victorious?

River versus Zoe. Same universe. It could happen. I'd have to give it to River because she's crazy psychic assassin and took out loads of Reavers.

3 and 11 bake a cake - what kind, for what occasion, and is it a success?3 and 11 bake a cake - what kind, for what occasion, and is it a success?

Chase from Runaways and The Doctor bake a cake. Hmmmm..

I'll say they're doing it for Molly's birthday. The other Runaways wouldn't merit a homemade cake, but Molly's still a youngin (and if you take in my own fanon, she's actually Chase's sister). The Doctor shows up to help because in the future, Molly turns out to be a particularly important person. Well, actually he shows up completely by accident, but when he realizes who Molly is he's impressed enough to stick around and help.

I'm going to have to say it's not a success. The Doctor would wave his sonic screwdriver at the mixer and it would go crazy and splatter everywhere and even if there's enough batter to make a cake, he probably filled it with fishsticks and custard or some equally ridiculous combination under the theory it'd taste good. Also, because he can't stop anywhere just for fun without it happening, aliens attack in the middle. Probably Daleks.

After they're defeated, Molly turns her nose up at the weird fishstick cake that's been overcooked by Dalek lasers and Karolina takes the Runaways to Chucky Cheese, but Chase and the Doctor happily eat the weird cake anyway.

The questions I asked others:

15 is drawn into 3's universe suddenly. However, like in Terminator, clothes don't come along. 3's warddrobe and other possessions are there, what does 15 take to make him/herself presentable and prepared for what might come up?

Hmmm... I'm not sure Chase's clothes would really appeal to Zoe. But I imagine she'd take the outfit he wore in #22.. jeans, shirt, jacket, gloves. Might even look all right on her.

She'd also take Chase's switchblade and maybe the Leapfrog if she could manage it. She might try to get help from them but they'll all be in their snotty "Don't trust adults" tendency.

14 suddenly and permanently changes gender (in the event of somebody who doesn't fit normal choices, say they're forced permanently into one, or do something else appropriate). How do they cope?

Zoey is a video game character, as such, her gender and in general physical attributes (musculature, age, etc) play no role in gameplay. So she would be pretty comfortable with it, she'd still fight zombies. But it would make the L4D team a total sausagefest so they'd probably have to recruit another female team member. Maybe after the events of The Passing.

9 comes over to dinner at 10's house. What does 10 cook and what do they talk about?

Illyana Rasputin comes to Jack O'Neil's house.

I think it's a trap. She's been doing the creepy-voiced Darkchylde thing, and Jack assumes it's a Goa'uld or some other type of alien possession. Her teleportation abilities are probably like the Rings. So, he invited her over to his place to set a trap. Carter tried to technologically jam her teleportation, while he distracts her with his world famous omeletes (ingredients: eggs, and beer, and maybe a powerful sedative) and tries to get information from her. She would talk about her home, Limbo, full of demon armies, Jack would ask about the fishing and talk about a lake in Minnesota. There would be plans for a more detailed interrogation later.

However, magic trumps science in this case (Unless we're playing by SG rules were all magic is science, in which case Carter might be able to MacGyver a way to block her), so Magik would get away. But since she's nominally a good guy she wouldn't retaliate with demons unless they came after her.

Which person on the list would 6 most like to swap lives with?
Sokka? Hmmm...
Well, he doesn't have the cultural benchmarks to squee over getting to hang with the specific characters, but I think one of these three would appeal most to him:

Chase, because he'd get to mostly be himself, the wiseass goof-off but who has cool weapons and a cool animal and gets to hang around a number of cute girls.

Cassandra Cain, because she's what he'd LIKE to be, a badass warrior type.

Zoe from Firefly because, again, a badass warrior type, and I think he'd really dig the technology and space travel.

Of the three, I think he'd most want to be Chase, though.

14 has the ability to call on 1, only once, to help him/her with any problem. What kind of situation makes them do it?

(Oddly, these were the numbers I chose, but when I rerolled I got the exact same ones).

Anyway, Shadowcat gets to call on River. Well, River's abilities to solve problems are rather limited, so I'd imagine she'd be called into help fight against some kind of mutant-killing threat, maybe something like another Inferno style demon invasion, or the N'Garai. However, Shadowcat's a ninja herself and can phase into intangibility, so I'd imagine she wouldn't really need to. Maybe she'd call on her to protect somebody ELSE while Shadowcat does stuff that needs to be done.

Okay, let's say this:

Wolverine has gone bad again - mind controlled, raised by the Hand, whatever. She needs somebody who can take him down, keep him from hurting anybody else, and, if necessary, kill him, but she can't do it himself, she's too close. So he calls on River to fight him and use her anticipation/reflexes to stay alive. Just long enough for the other X-Men to get into position to do the stuff that will turn him back to normal in time for the next crossover or guest appearance.

1 and 4 switch universes (if applicable) and are expected to perform the other's duties/role. How do they do, and what wacky hijinks ensue?

River and Veronica Mars... hmmm... I think Veronica would get along well with the crew of Serenity, and she'd perform River's "being creepy" roles by digging up as much information she could on the rest of the crew, but she couldn't be too much help in a firefight. Her tazer might help a little. I imagine if she tazed somebody and they were a threat, Mal or Jayne would finish them off and she'd be a little aghast.

River in High School/Running Private Detective jobs would be a train wreck. Sure, if she could be coherent enough to stick to the task, her mindreading abilities would come in handy, but I imagine it would be more like this:
"Hi, I'd like to hire a private detective to find out if my wife is cheating on me."
"You're cheating on her."
"What?"
"The blonde, you said she was just a friend, but friends don't do the things you did with her."
"You're good."

But then when the time came to be undercover she'd randomly start screaming about butterflies or something and totally blow her cover. Keith might be able to use her in very specific circumstances, but he'd be reluctant to do so and would more likely consider her a 'case' (even if you assume he didn't think she was somehow responsible for his daughter's disappearance), and try to get help for her.

She'd also be totally unprepared for the high school aspect, she'd be That Weird Girl nobody talks to and everyone makes fun of... but she wouldn't care, and if anybody tried to give her trouble directly she'd kick their ass.

12 has the opportunity to steal one thing/power/important person from 14. Which one does he/she chose, and how do they both cope?

I think Zoey would choose Kitty's phasing power. It would be lik No Clipping Mode in the video game, the zombies couldn't touch her, and she could make it to each saferoom easily. Smokers couldn't touch her. Why, she could even keep the others safe, too. Also, if she did happen to die? She wouldn't be trapped in the closet later in the level, she'd just phase out and rejoin the team.

She might also choose Wolverine, because he'd be a kickass zombie fighter.

Shadowcat probably would not appreciate the loss of either, although she'd eventually cope from the power loss, going from a front line X-Man to a supporting character and mutant activist, basically being like any other depowered mutant, except not willing to give up the fight.

11 is a guest on a daytime talk show. What's the topic?

Do Aliens Exist? True tales of the paranormal.

Or maybe one of those shows where they do home makeovers, and he gives tips on making rooms seem bigger on the inside.

9 and 6 are handcuffed together with an unbreakable chain. The only way it comes off is if one of them is dead. Which, if any, snaps first?

Magik and Sokka? Definitely Magik snaps first. Sokka would be okay with it most of the time. Magik would put up with his jokes and antics for a little while, but sooner or later she'd go Darkchilde. She might try to just cut off his hand. but if the rules are that one of them has to be dead, sooner or later he'd push her too far.

1 and 2 go to the movies together, but just as friends. Who of the OTHER characters does each take as a date?

Hmmmm... River and Al.

Well, Al would take a woman. The easiest woman of legal age. So that would probably be Zoey from L4D. Which isn't to say she's easy, but I get the impression everyone else would just see right through him. Zoey might too, but she might give him a chance nonetheless. She likes Bill, she might like him.

River's harder. I think I'll go with Siri Keeton, because he would, if nothing else, be able to understand her, even if he doesn't realize that he does and is just interpretting it for others. He might not realize he's on a date. Also, poor Siri's been neglected, 5 hasn't come up once.

All 15 characters are kidnapped by all-powerful beings and forced to fight to the death until only one of them is alive. If there's no winner after 3 days, all of them die. What's the outcome?

Well, the Doctor's practically a Gallifreyan Deus Ex Machina. Even if nobody else did, he would FIND A WAY TO WIN. (This is true of most fictional characters, but I think the Doctor's would be sillier and with much less reason. He'd wave his screwdriver at some alien artifact and suddenly their powers would turn on them).

So, let's explicitly rule that out and say the rules are iron-clad.

Since I chose mostly heroes, I think the 'we all die together' option is the most likely, or the "we all draw straws and the short straw survives, the rest don't". A few people would be pragmatic and try to kill others. Cameron, for example. She'd almost instantly decide that killing everybody else is the only logical outcome, and begin doing it. I'd imagine she'd go for the biggest threats first, as she could identify them. Jack O'Neil, the two Zoes, maybe Sharon. She'd probably succeed at at least a couple of them before everybody else twigged to what was happening and took her out. Shadowcat could do so easily, just by phasing through her.

I could see two others, Chase and Magik, also, when they came down to the wire, making the choice to try to kill the others. Magik would have the best luck at it, if she still had her teleportation powers (even if they wouldn't let her just escape). She could also console herself with the notion that everybody else might still be alive in Limbo and she could use time travel to try to undo the whole situation. The only hope they might have is if Siri or River realize what Magik is going to do before she does, and tell others or maybe River just takes her out in advance.

So I think Magik wins out in the end, except she might not be willing to kill Shadowcat, her soul-sister... in fact, she might decide at the end, after killing everybody except her, to then make the sacrifice of herself. So yeah, I think Magik would "win" but Shadowcat would be the last survivor.

If they drew straws, Zoe from Firefly wins, because that's the number the random number generator picked.

If anyone is interested, they're welcome to still submit wacky questions, but you're on the honor system to choose the numbers randomly! ;) Or you could cheat and just ask wacky questions of specific characters/pairings, that's okay too.
