Some of you might know that for the last few years I've had my own little personal Halloween tradition, "One Hundred Words of Horror"... short horror stories of exactly 100 words.
Well, not this year. I just didn't have any inspiration, or much drive, and time sort of got away from me anyway. Few people other than me ever took up the challenge anyway. If you're interested, links to previous years examples are here: 2010 2009 2008 2007 (the first)
Maybe I'll try to do it next year.
I didn't really do anything for Halloween this year, actually, I'm only barely aware it's that date today.
Halloween is, in theory, my favorite holiday. I love the concept behind it, the celebration of darkness, scary things, and outright horror, the pagentry of dressing up, and candy is always nice. But it all seems a little pointless to do it just for me... I kind of wish I could celebrate it among people in a standard way, but, well, that's the life of a hermit for you.
To all of you who do enjoy it, have a Happy and (safely) Scary Halloween!
