Or maybe I just decided to go for a lame joke because I couldn't think of anything else. You'll never know for sure. And you know what else is scary? Uncertainty.
But, Happy Halloween everyone! It looks like, although a bit drizzly, Halloween won't be ruined for all the kids here, which makes me abstractly happier even though, as I said, I don't ever see any trick-or-treaters due to living in an apartment. Unfortunately, because work ran a little long by the time I was on my way home, school-age kids had already gone in to school, so I didn't get to enjoy a little glimpse of people in costume on their way to school like I sometimes do. In fact, I haven't seen a single person actually in costume today (photos a plenty, but not quite the same thing). This makes me abstractly sadder. Maybe I'll glance out the window and spot somebody from a distance at some point.
Oh well.
