Pipe dreams...

Some of you may know I do a weekly comic review column on usenet (much more in detail than the one-line thoughts I post here). A few days ago I got an e-mail from someone who runs a general entertainment site, and was wondering if I was interested in doing reviews for his site.
My initial thought was no, since I was eventually planning on putting up my own reviews on a weekly website anyway, and I might as well have it all under me.
Since then I've kind of been thinking...
I may want to go beyond that. I've actually been considering doing a comic-related site in general, including news, columns, reviews, much like places like www.newsarama.com or www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com. Eventually branching out to other things, books, movies, tv, so long as it's got a weirdness factor to it (so SF/Fantasy, etc). I don't expect it to ever make a lot of money, even enough to live on, but with links to sponsors and such I might be able to make a little.
If I do all this, I might want to open it up a little.
All I'd have at present would be my own reviews, maybe one column (I'm thinking of making it a version of 'What I'd Do With'), and a newsblog. However, _if_ people were interested, and I could pull it off, I could add other features by other people; more reviews, perhaps a comic strip. Any revenue from advertising and such on those pages would probably go to the contributers in question. (And, as I'm a nice guy, if you're a friend even if you don't want to contribute something formally, I'd be happy to have links to any online comic strips and such).
I should warn this is in the very early planning stages and so may or may not ever come about. And probably not. But then, I never thought I'd keep up with reviews, and I'm about 1 and a half years into it without missing a single one.
