Two things...
Feb. 4th, 2007 12:53 pmFirst, it's mighty cold outside. But I am a brave, manly, Canadian man, so at 6am I walked the 40 minutes to work (and then 2 hours later, 40 minutes back) in -16 degree weather (-27 wind chill). (All values in sensible Celsius, not your crazy Fahrenheit)
Secondly, I just thought I'd get up a soapbox a bit. The Last Unicorn is coming out on a special 25th anniversary DVD on Feb 6. The DVD will be remastered and such. If anyone on my flist or anyone happening to stumble on the post, has intention of buying it, I heartily suggest you get it from this site, as opposed to ANYWHERE else. If you buy it anywhere else, Peter S. Beagle, writer of the Last Unicorn, will get nothing. Buying it from the link I provided will give him half the purchase price (and you can get it autographed, too). He's been fighting a legal battle for some time to get his due compensation from Granada Media, the company that owns the film.
I'm probably not able to get the DVD for a while, but I might after I move and have a better idea of my finances.
