About 3 dreams.

The first was sort of a similar situation to my [livejournal.com profile] alternaljournal... I was me, but in a medieval style civilization. Part of it didn't focus on me, it was a woman who (in the dream) I'd encountered before. In the middle of the night, she was thrown out of where she was living, with no money or anything, and, streets being dangerous, she didn't expect to survive even one night. She figured her only hope was to find me because I'd help her without asking anything in return. Except she didn't know where I lived, just the general direction. So she headed that way. Along the way she passed some sort of primitive circus, with acrobats and people holding torches and fire parading around. It didn't figure at all into the story, it was just sort of a side thing. Meanwhile, where I lived, I went to the washroom... except, when I came out, I must have come out more quickly than expected, because I noticed a bunch of people going through my room, trying to get access to my stuff, which included some high tech items unknown on this world. I couldn't fight them off or anything, so I did the only thing I could, tried a bluff, threatened that my vast powers would overwhelm them if they didn't return everything. Somehow it worked. I also told them to leave. As they did, I held the door open, and just as I was closing it, although dream-me didn't see her, the woman who was looking for me saw me, although before she could actually arrive and ask for my help I woke up.

That was the dream that stuck with me most of the night. I know it's too old fashioned, and not politically correct anymore, but there's a part of me deep inside, brainwashed by too much adventure fiction, that really wants to save a damsel in distress. Like, on some primal level. Rationally, I know it's a bit silly and not at all likely, but I can't deny there's a deep longing there nonetheless.

The second dream was a fairly straightforward 'Oh my god, it's the first day of the new term, I'm almost late for school and I have to find my schedule right now or I won't know what class to go to' (and then, upon finding my schedule, realizing that I don't know what building that room is, and have to find a map). Oddly (to me, you wouldn't know the difference), although in the dream I was in University, I was living at my grandmothers. And of course, in real life I'm neither in school, or living there.

The third dream I was a kid, and I was taken hostage by some gun/bomb weilding maniac... except it was a weird kind of hostage situation, as I could walk around, head out to talk to the police and other stuff, all I wanted. I still was a hostage, it wasn't a conspiracy or hoax or anything, it was just one of those 'dream logic even if it doesn't make real sense'. Anyway, I heard my mom was coming up to talk to the criminal, so I had to go back to being at gunpoint in the room he was holed up in. So my mom came up, and punched him in the face, and I was like, "All right Mom! Guess you didn't know she was in the military."
Then he followed her into another room where I couldn't see, and she stepped out apparently having completely dispatched him in a few seconds.
