My choices (no particular order, stretching on some cause I couldn't think of too many shows off hand that I actually liked particular characters)

1. Buffy
2. Angel - Wesley, because the dark turns he took from such innocent beginnings were still somehow so believable, and he turned into a very good complicated character.
3. Firefly - Jayne. Really tough call, and sometimes it even shifts to another character, as I love many of them very close to evenly. But Jayne's the one that I can't picture the show without - all the other characters I could sort of see how the show would work if they either removed them or replaced (in the case of a character like the Captain) them with another, but Jayne brings something very special to the show.
4. Stargate SG-1 - Jack O'Neill. Really, I like pretty well all the characters, and Daniel especially's had some great delivery of lines since he returned, and all the characters have really good chemistry together. But Jack's the king.
5. Lost - Hurley - How can you not like Hurley? I really enjoyed the episode that focused on him and he got some of the best lines. "Nobody's looking for it... yeah, that's a little weird!"
6. Farscape
7. Sliders (first 3 seasons only) - The Professor. John Rhys-Davies owns all. He's got a great presence, and the character's mix of intelligence, wisdom, and pompous ego was just great.
8. Battlestar Galactica (new)
9. The Prisoner - Number 6. Well, duh, this was a no-brainer, he's basically the only recurring character unless you count The Butler, Rover or ones of the few Number Twos who appeared twice. But 6 is just one of my favorite secret agents ever.
10. Highlander: The Series

Got Jayne right... although with Firefly it was really hard to choose, because I really love almost all the characters - Jayne just gets the slight edge because he's the only one I can't really imagine the show being anywhere near the same if he was removed or replaced with another character with a similar role.
