newnumber6: Ghostly being (Default)
Okay, ask me three questions in a comment, yadda yadda yadda, I'll answer as truthfully as I can if I choose to answer at all (no, I'm not giving out my address or phone number. ;))
No holds barred! Except that I can choose not to answer something. ;)

Big week this week, I got:
Chosen #2 (Not bad, bit slow for a SEcond Coming story)
Emma Frost #10 (Okay, but not interested. Dropping the title as of now)
Gotham Central #18 (Not bad, little bit disappointed though but good on a crime-book level)
Marvel 1602 #8 (The conclusion and... I'm a little disappointed, actually)
New Mutants #11 (Not as good as usual, mostly a backstory issue)
Teen Titans #10 (Like the characters, but the plot... notsomuch)
Ultimate X-Men #44 (Excellent, my Pick of the Week), Weapon X #21 (Dull, and I'm dropping this book as of now too), X-Men Unlimited #2 (Decent Bishop story that gives me hope for District X, predictable and cliche story with Jubilee)
X-Treme X-Men #45 (WEll, at least that plot's over)
I also picked up, but have not read, the Marvel Age manga-sized TPB of 'Spider-Girl' (issues 0-5). Also, the Runaways Manga-sized trade came out this week, collecting the first 6 issues, in full color digest format, for less than the price of all the individual issues, and, if the Spider-Girl trade is anything to go by, no internal ads. I did a brief flipthrough and the art and text both look nice and legible even shrunk down, so I highly recommend picking up Runaways' digest if you haven't already)
At the bookstore, I picked up The Chrysalids, by John Windham, because a discussion online reminded me of it, I was forced to read it in school but quite enjoyed it, and wanted to read it again.

And, of course, I got a gyro.
