newnumber6Was cleaning out an old drawer and found a notebook, apparently a comic story I was writing when I was young. No idea how young (feel free to guess, I can narrow it down between 8 and 11 by certain references. Hopefully it's the low end of that). Since I'm on an ongoing quest to whittle down my ego, I thought I'd transcribe it and share it all.
Behold the lameness of youth (all spelling and grammar errors are as best as I can transcribe them):
Part One: Only Time Will Tell
Stalker (in normal form): Spidey's fighting Doc Ock. He looks like he could use some help! (Goes in an ally, comes out as The Stalker)
Spiderman: The Stalkers coming to help me.
D.O.: I'll get you both.
Stalker flies up, see Spidy being captured.
Stalker: I've got to get Power Packand Alfa Flight, Wolverine, Timebird, Pheonix 3 and FalconSpider and, Fantastic Four and X-Men.
She goes to their houses and explains.
Maniken: We found some people to help. Spider Woman and The one-bodyed Twins.
Sasquatch: Where can he be?
Timebird: Where would an octoupus go. Underwater.
Thing: There's lots of water.
Timebird: Let me peer back in time to where he took Spidey. Bottom of pasific ocean.
They get scuba gear on.
Thing: Maniken, teleport us.
Maniken: Ok
Shadowcat; everyone who can phase through the wall.
Soon...
Stalker: We got spidy out.
Timebird: My powers going crazy, were time traveling. (soon). My hourglass, Doc Ock stole it. We can't go back. (Cage drops over them)
D.O.: You'll never get out! (He leaves)
Stalker: I'll phase through and save you.
Pheonix 3: I'll grow and break it.
Soon
Stalker: We're out. What time are we in, any ways?
Timebird: about two hundred year in the past.
Big flash of light blizzys thorn.
unnownperson: Hi i'm cheatah kid. Hey I've heard of you, you're the Stalker. An hourglass said I must give you this sidekick.
Stalker: Well I could useone. Did you say hourglass?
Chetha kid: Yes and it had a pretty red ring in it.
all: That's Timebirds! Where is she?
Stalker: knowing her, probably looking for her hourglass.
Counterwheight: I make 0 grav (and) I see her. She is going to a weird shaped billding
While inside
D.O.: I'm Docter Octoupus. There's good intruders on the scanner. Will you help me kill them?
Powersteal: Yes. In fact I have the perfect trap. give me the hourglass.
D.O.: Okay
Powersteal: Put it on the table
Door busts down
Stalker: Now I've got you.
Purplegirl: All get the hourglass. I command it!
Powersteal: Now you're TRAPPED! Ha ha ha. (crysltaty goes around then makes a jail) and you can't use your powers either. Now I will take them.
Kitty: I can phase through the crystal. Let them go or you die.
He does.
Powersteal: You'll never get us and the hourglass.
They fly out.
Stalker: Well, we can't get back untill we get the hourglass. We'll have a temporary team called the Xtra heroes. Now tell me who you want for the commander.
All: We vote for the Stalker.

Into the VIDEO Games
Starstreak: We've been walking for hours, when will we find Docter Octoupus.
Stalker: There he is! Lets get him!
Thing: Yeah! It's CLOBBERIN' TIME!
Purplegirl: No, it may be a trap.
Molecula: Too late, were all caught.
Buzzing sounds then a light.
(And after that all the pages are blank)
Things to notice:
1) Even at this early point in time, Wolverine makes a cameo in _everything_.
2) I can't spell doctor, octopus or pasific, but I have no trouble with teleport or phase.
3) Presumably Stalker was my own character (as was Powersteal Timebird, Cheatah Kid and others), but I can't remember anything about her. Apparently one of her super powers is knowing the home address of every super hero. Maybe that's why she's called Stalker. But hey, yay me for being ahead of my time and creating a female lead character (or two, if you count Timebird)! ;)
4) There appear to be a large number of random heros and villains wandering around 200 years ago. Not to mention, apparently, video games.
5) Doc Ock is very trusting of new people he apparently just met.
6) X-Men, Fantastic Four, random solo heroes, Alfa Flight and Power Pack make the cut, but no mention of any Avengers. Easy to tell I had no interest in them back then (which to an extent continues to this day).
7) Despite not being able to distinguish good stories from bad, I was apparently able to distinguish Marvel Universe from Non-Marvel, as no DC characters (or for that matter, New Universe characters, which was likely in the same time period and I loved) appeared.
Anyway, it amused me. :)
