So, yeah, I've reached that annoying point in the term where all the doubts creep up. Where I realize that I have no idea what I'm doing and don't think I can pass, and realize that I don't even really want to pass anymore since I'm not even doing this for me anymore. And then guilt, for that.

So we'll see. Sometimes it passes and I do really well. Sometimes it doesn't, and I wind up dropping the course. Of course, this time is a little different, since I'm only taking the one course, and I've tried taking it before but couldn't 'get' it. So, I'll try my best, but, I think, pass or fail this is my last course. If I pass, I'm done (assuming I counted my courses correctly. If not I'm at least through the hardest required course so I wouldn't be too opposed to going back for an easier course). If I fail, I'm done too, just in a different way.

Robert Baltovich

Recent news in Toronto has Robert Baltovich's appeal going forward and gaining momentum. He was convicted of murdering his girlfriend Elizabeth Bain something like 12 years ago. The original case was mostly circumstantial (Bain's body was never even found). The appeal is mostly centered on the theory that Bain was actually killed by Paul Bernardo, then known as 'The Scarborough Rapist', who later did a whole bunch of really disgusting rape/murders, some on video, with his wife (Law and Order even did a 'Ripped from the Headlines' episode based heavily on his story). Today apparently the Crown (prosecution) had apparently misplaced evidence that partially supported Baltovich's alibi for the window they said the murder occured in.
